I am an Integrative Psychotherapist with an awareness and understanding or various ways of working. How we work will depend on the issue that you are bringing to therapy. Although there are various techniques for working therapeutically, one of the most important elements is the relationship between us. If the engagement is going to be helpful to you there needs to be a sense of trust and support. I am there to help provide that and so the opportunity to talk about at times difficult things. This provides the opportunity to create an understanding of yourself which is hard to achieve in other environments. Through therapy there is the possibility of arriving at a greater understanding of why we are the way we are and also why we find ourselves in situations that can distress us and how we may change this.

The therapeutic engagement is in part listening, understanding, reflecting, challenging, and working together to unravel thoughts and feelings that can often feel stuck or in a muddle. It can also be a place for looking at immediate issues in a new light

I engage in 1-2-1 psychotherapy and counselling, long term, open ended and Short Term. I also facilitate Therapy Groups.

I am a Tutor, Head of Year, and Supervisor at the Minster Centre in London which provides training in Psychotherapy and Counselling.

I am a Supervisor to Qualified and Student Therapist.

I work mainly in private practice. I have also worked as a therapist for an NHS and Local Authority provision of therapeutic services.
